2011 Mid-season TV Schedule: new and returning shows aplenty

There are some old favorites premiering new seasons and plenty of newbies making their way onto the schedule for the new year.

Shows returning for a new season include The Bachelor with Brad Womack making another attempt at love. Meanwhile, NBC is going to have a go at a three-hour comedy block when Parks and Recreation comes back to the schedule on January 20th. American Idol is going to try to repair its reputation by bringing Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler to the judges' table when it premieres January 19th. The Jersey Shore gang will be back for a new season January 6th and Survivor adds some new twists to Season 22 (Redemption Island) on February 16th.

New shows include the Matthew Perry and Allison Janney comedy Mr. Sunshine, premiering February 9th. Paula Abdul will try to make a comeback with the new competition dance show, Live to Dance, on January 4th, and a new David E. Kelly law drama with Kathy Bates called Harry’s Law kicks off on January 17th. The full mis-season schedule can be found below (* = new show).
