Bachelor Pad 3 cast announced

The cast of Bachelor Pad 3 was announced today and it looks like there will be plenty of drama. 21 people will be competing for the cash prize and this time six of those people will be fans of the franchise. Many of the women are coming from Ben’s season of The Bachelor, one from Brad’s season, a returning player, and four fans. The men are a mix from Emily, Ashley, and Jillian’s seasons of The Bachelorette, plus two fans. The network has said that the contestants will “gather back at the mansion to live together to possibly find a second chance at love and compete for $250,000.”

The list of people are interesting, but some of them I don’t know why they are on there. Single dad Tony from Emily’s season left the show because he missed his son, so why is he back? Erica and Michael already competed, with Michael winning last season. Out of the women Rachel and Lindzi are the most likeable and out of the men there is Reid, Michael, Ed and Nick. It will be interesting to see who the mystery man, currently on Emily’s season, will be. The complete list of contestants follows and if, like me, you can’t remember their faces, ABC has a complete slideshow.

The women are:

  • Lindzi Cox (The Bachelor, Season 16, Ben Flajnik)
  • Blakely Jones (The Bachelor, Season 16, Ben Flajnik)
  • Sarah Newlon (The Bachelor, Season 11, Brad Womack)
  • Jamie Otis (The Bachelor, Season 16, Ben Flajnik)
  • Erica Rose (The Bachelor, Season 9, Prince Lorenzo Borghese and Bachelor Pad 2)
  • Jaclyn Swartz (The Bachelor, Season 16, Ben Flajnik)
  • Rachel Trueheart (The Bachelor, Season 16, Ben Flajnik)
  • And the men are:

  • Ryan Hoag (The Bachelorette, Season 4, DeAnna Pappas)
  • Michael Stagliano (The Bachelorette, Season 5, Jillian Harris and winner of Bachelor Pad 2)
  • Kalon McMahon (The Bachelorette, Season 8, Emily Maynard)
  • Reid Rosenthal (The Bachelorette, Season 5, Jillian Harris)
  • Nick Peterson (The Bachelorette, Season 7, Ashley Herbert)
  • Tony Pieper (The Bachelorette, Season 8, Emily Maynard)
  • Ed Swiderski (The Bachelorette, Season 5, Jillian Harris)
  • Mystery man (has yet to be cast off of Emily’s season)
  • The fans are:

  • Chris Bain, 28, from Canton, Georgia
  • David Mallett, 28, Hoboken, New Jersey
  • Paige Vigil, 24, from New York, New York
  • Brittany and Erica Taltos, 22, from Gainesville, Florida

I find Bachelor Pad to be oddly addictive. Agreed that some of the casting choices are very odd -- guess we'll see !
