Dr. Drew is taking over television, the planet, and beyond that too

Dr. Drew Pinsky, known more popularly as Dr. Drew, is literally all over the place these days. Well, not literally as Dr. Drew and longtime radio sidekick Adam Carolla like to joke about, but a lot. And a verily lot at that.

Consider for starters that Dr. Drew is a board-certified internist and addiction medicine specialist, as any fan of Love Line will be able to tell you. So, if you believe Dr. Drew (and I do, having a small third-party connection to Dr. Drew’s professional activities) he’s a practicing physician with some wide ranging number of duties. This is obvious too if you tune into the popular series of shows that Dr. Drew helms for VH1, which include Sober House and the most recent edition of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. Dr. Drew also seems to pop up every other time I flip on MTV, showing up in the capacity as host and moderator on panels for reunion shows and specials for popular shows 16 & Pregnant and Teen Mom.

Okay, so here’s a guy that’s a doctor, has a couple of popular TV series, and shows up for some specials and one-offs every now and again. Not that crazy, right? Well, we’re just getting started here.

Dr. Drew will be hosting not one but two new talk shows in 2011: a primetime talk show debuts on CNN’s Headline News (HLN) network in the spring, and the other, to be called Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers, kicks off in the fall on the CW and will air during the day.

Okay fine, Dr. Drew is on every television show at the same time, all day, everyday. We get it.

But don’t forget that the good doctor is also still omnipresent on the radio as well. He still hosts Love Line – a call-in show about love, sex, addiction, and relationships – nightly and yet still finds the time to show up as a regular guest on The Adam Carolla Show via podcast and The Howard Stern show on Sirius-XM satellite radio.

And during his off-time? He’s either getting treated for Leptospirosis while taking a rare vacation with his wife or showing up for a guest spot on ABC’s The Bachelor.

Finally, as a bonus, don’t forget that Dr. Drew has a little bit of a movie career under his belt, with credits for films such as New York Minute, starring the Olsen twins and Eugene Levy.
