Besides adding six new shows to the network, the biggest fall TV news would have to be that Ashton Kutcher is replacing Charlie Sheen on the CBS comedy Two and a Half Men for the new season. If you are not aware of the problems Sheen has been having, then you must have been living in a hole the past few months! This seems like a gamble, but it might pay off. Kutcher has some star power and can keep the funny on the show. It will be interesting to see how many fans of the show will stick around once the change is made.

Other favorites returning are Survivor, with the location once again set in the South Pacific. The show will have another two past castaways returning and will keep the Redemption Island wrinkle. Hawaii Five-O got the okay to move on to a second season. I really got into this show and am happy that it is sticking around. Also getting the green light for a second season are Blue Bloods and Mike & Molly. Shows getting the axe include #@!$ My Dad Says, Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, The Defenders, and Mad Love.
The newbies on the schedule are comedies: 2 Broke Girls with Kat Dennings and How to Be a Gentleman with Kevin Dillion. 2 Broke Girls focuses on a waitress (Dennings) who makes friends with a broke trust fund girl (Beth Behrs) who has to get a job at the same diner. How to Be a Gentleman is about Andrew (David Hornsby) who gets help from a friend from his past (Dillion) to help him write a column for his job about being a “real man”.
There are also a couple of dramas being added to the schedule also. Unforgettable stars Poppy Montgomery as a former police detective who has a perfect memory, except when it comes to the details of her sister’s murder. A Gifted Man stars Patrick Wilson as a doctor whose dead ex-wife comes back as an illusion to help him understand what is important in life. For the mid season, a crime drama about rookie cops called The 2-2 will join the schedule.
One new drama that looks promising is the other JJ Abrams drama (the first being Alcatraz on Fox) titled Person of Interest. Lost alum Michael Emerson stars with Jim Caviezel (Count of Monte Cristo, Passion of the Christ) where Emerson plays a billionaire who teams up with Caviezel who is trained in covert operations. The two use special software created by Emerson to identity crooks and stop crimes before they happen.
CBS did make some time slot changes to their new schedule. CSI will now be on at 10pm on Wednesday nights, Rules of Engagement moved to Saturdays at 8pm and the Good Wife was moved to Sundays at 9pm.. The comedy block of How I Met Your Mother, 2 Broke Girls, Two and a Half Men and Mike & Molly will be on Monday nights leading in to Hawaii Five-O. It will be drama Tuesday with NCIS, NCIS: Los Angeles and Unforgettable. Survivor leads off Wednesdays and Person of Interest will have some tough competition from Bones on Fox and Grey’s Anatomy on ABC in the Thursday 9pm slot.

For whatever reason I don't tend to be a fan of CBS comedies. Really looking forward to How To Be A Gentleman though as Kevin Dillon deserves a shot to front a show. Hope it's good !
