Not many changes for the CW for the fall 2011 TV season, but they did add four new shows to the mix. There will be a new Josh Schwartz (Gossip Girl, The OC) drama called Hart of Dixie with Rachel Bilson as a doctor who moves from the big city to a small southern town to work at a local practice. Hart of Dixie will follow the other Schwartz-helmed show, Gossip Girl, on Mondays at 9pm.

The Secret Circle, created by Kevin Williamson, will be added to Thursday’s schedule right after the other Williamson CW hit Vampire Diaries. Secret Circle is based off books from the same author as the Vampire Diaries and follows a girl who moves to a new town to discover that she is a witch and becomes a part of a secret coven.
Ringer, with Sarah Michelle Gellar, will be on Tuesdays at 9pm. Ringer has Gellar as a troubled woman who poses as her wealthier twin sister, but quickly finds out that her sister doesn’t have a great life as well. CBS was originally supposed to pick this series up, but passed on it and the CW quickly picked it up. Gellar has not been on TV since Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended in 2003, so fans of hers will be glad to see her back on television.
The CW will also have a new reality show called H8R. The show will be hosted by Mario Lopez and the premise is celebrities will meet people that loathe them and try to get them to like them. This show sounds interesting and it is fitting that the first celebrity guests will be Kim Kardashian and Snooki, probably the two most disliked “celebrities” today.
Changes to the time slots include 90210 moving back to its old place of Tuesday at 8pm and Nikita has been moved from Thursdays at 9 to Fridays at 8. Wednesday will be the night of reality TV with H8R at 8pm and America’s Next Top Model at 9 pm. The only show to be cancelled on The CW was Hellcats while Smallville had its series finale this past week.

Ringer will definitely be a reason for people to give The CW a look.
I'm glad that Mario Lopez has other gigs, including hosting ABDC, as the concept of H8R is absolutely awful. Then again... who knows what will fly these days? ;-)
