From Around the Webs: Don Draper lessons, AMC killing, Lost epilogue, Entourage end game

Quick news and notes from around the webs for you this fine evening. Okay, so it's 2:30 am which isn't technically "evening" but more on the obscenely late side, but let's not quibble, shall we?

  • Don Draper's 10 Lessons in Being a Man: If you're a Mad Men fan (and you're mad not to be, quite frankly) and if you loved Saturday Night Live's amazing "Don Draper's Guide To Picking Up Women," then this list is definitely worth a check out. You get to see a nice still of Roger Sterling (John Slattery) yarking all over Sterling Cooper's lobby if nothing else (under the heading: Always Be Able to Out-Drink Your Boss).
  • AMC ready to make a killing: Actually, it will be The Killing, a series order for AMC's fifth planned drama. The premise sounds pretty generic ("the story of the murder of a young girl and the subsequent police investigation") but AMC's reputation is such at present that any show it produces deserves immediate consideration.
  • Lost series epilogue leaked: I watched a little bit of the 12-minute epilogue, but really could barely pay attention after enduring the disastrous series finale of the show. And I still believe that the horrid ending will hurt DVD sales.
  • Entourage to have one more (short) season: The current season is definitely pointing to the fact that this once great franchise is ready to head into that sunset sitting behind the Hollywood hills. The question is whether or not it can pull off a resurrection as a movie franchise (my guess would be: no).
