Quick Take: New Girl, "Bells"
"Repeat after me, I am not the Chinese kid from Goonies" - Schmidt

Review: New Girl, "Bells"
(S0107) Watching Winston (Lamorne Morris) brought back some serious nightmares about past temp jobs. When you're at the point where you have to make a game out of your job in order to stay conscious, you have crossed into a specific circle of hell.
That circle of hell is located right next to the one reserved for people who refuse to let a professional do their repairs and instead manufacture a Rube Goldbergian way to “make things work.” I once had a roommate who removed a boot from my car by taking off my bumper, so I understand the frustration of living in a residence where everything has a trick.
Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Nick's (Jake Johnson) fight brought up whatever "shared space" memories, I had repressed, Only a show as brilliantly funny as New Girl can make me face up to the fact that every roommate I ever had was a total jackass and that includes my children and my ex-wife. I wish I knew how the writers blend recognizable every day situations with laugh out loud dialogue so easily. If I did, I'd finally be able to write my sitcom idea entitled, “Nobody understand me but the television.”
On the other hand, I found the whole bells thing uninteresting. I've seen the scene where a guy turns out to be really good at something nobody cares about it on too many sitcoms to find it funny at all. Besides, isn't Jess (Zooey Deschanel) a grade school teacher? What is she doing managing the punishment time of a bunch of teen age delinquents?
This wasn't my favorite episode of New Girl but considering the current crop of sitcoms these days, I'll take it.

I know that game / circle of hell all too well !
Anyone who thinks that this show is "brilliantly funny" and that it compares well to the current crop of sitcoms is an idiot who should be forced to watch every episode of Friends in one sitting.
Community, 30 Rock, and It's Always Sunny are funnier in a single episode that this show is going to be over its entire lifespan.
Hey Douche! Back it up. It's great that you can tell the future considering how far uo your own ass your head is, but I've been watvhing TV for a while now, my record speaks for itself. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=who+is+the+king+of+tv%3F
