Nurse Jackie Season Four trailer: detox is no Disneyland

It looks like fans of Showtime’s Nurse Jackie will be getting their fix before the title character gets her own in the darkening dramedy’s upcoming season. Returning Sunday April 8th at 9pm, season four of Nurse Jackie will see a brief change of scenery for Edie Falco’s character, as she takes her vacation time to finally air herself out in rehab.

The tagline promises that Jackie is “Out of excuses, out of tricks, out of control,” as her actions from the past three seasons seem to finally weigh her down enough to make the choice before a judge does for her. The new season sees a new cast of guest-stars, including Bobby Cannavale, Rosie Perez, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day fame, and reuniting Falco’s fellow Sopranos alums Aida Turturro and Joel Grey.

I have a rule when it comes to shows taking place in a hospital – Scrubs only. I’ll give credit where it’s due, though, and offer my kudos to the team behind Nurse Jackie for getting their fictional addict into rehab faster than it took House, or Lindsay Lohan. Well, you know what I mean.

Nurse Jackie comprises Showtime’s three-headed Sunday line-up, which also includes The Big C and The Borgias in light of the recently cancelled United States of Tara.
