Sons of Anarchy Season Four trailer: changing Charming

Sons of Anarchy, FX's critically acclaimed biker drama, returns for its fourth season next month (September 6th to be exact) and we are finally getting glimpses of what life after prison has in store for the men of SAMCRO. Reports have been swirling around for a while now that the new season will begin a little more than a year after the prior one ended, with the Sons preparing to leave prison after serving time for federal weapons charges.

This just-released trailer makes it clear that the Charming the Sons are returning to is a very different town than the one they left. "The town's upside down," Clay laments. Friend and ally Wayne Unser is no longer in charge of the Charming PD. He's been replaced by the new sheriff in town, Eli Roosevelt, played by relative newcomer Rockmond Dunbar. Roosevelt does not appear to be particularly sympathetic to SAMCRO's cause. The trailer shows his troops welcoming the Sons home with a high speed chase through the streets of Charming.

It isn't just the cops that SAMCRO is going to have to contend with this season. It appears that an evil far worse than the boys in blue has infiltrated Charming in Jax and Clay's absence: real estate developers. In the trailer, Clay looks disgustedly at a billboard advertising "New Custom Homes. Small Town Living, Modern Luxury. Coming Soon." Something tells me Jacob Hale might be involved with this new Charming Heights sub-division.

While this trailer doesn't provide much detail about the various storylines of the upcoming season, it does a pretty good job of whetting our appetites. I'm super-excited for the fourth season and September 6th can't come soon enough!

Just me or does Jax look crazily clean cut in that pic as well? Did he cut his hair during the last season ?

No, he still had long hair last season. He has said in interviews that he cut his hair in prison. Makes sense, he's already too pretty for prison, keeping the long girly hair would be like putting a target on his back. Or backside.

One of the many shows I'm pumped for this fall. It's good to see that Unswe is still kickin around and hasn't succumbed to the cancer while the boys are in the slammer. And let's not forget Jax is a daddy of 2 now - my bet is the new kid's name is John, any takers? :P

Mark, I'm psyched Unser is back, too. The way last season ended I would have wagered that we had seen the last of him. The more Dayton Callie, the better in my book.
