TV Geek Army Field Guide: careening right on the edge of spiraling over the rails

  • I've been a big supporter of Ringer throughout its first season in all its soapy over-the-top devilish fun… but the last two episodes are careening right on the edge of spiraling over the rails (and how's that for an over-the-top sentence?).
  • Lucas High's coverage of NatGeo's Doomsday Preppers has sparked a panoply of interesting reactions. Dive into the fun before diving back into your bunker.
  • I caught up on an interview with Cougar Town (and Scrubs and Spin City) creator Bill Lawrence on Marc Maron's WTF podcast recently (during a hike, no less), fun and interesting and illuminating stuff. Also just learned that he's married to Cougar Town's sassy Ellie (Christa Miller).
  • I'm gonna say it: Southland is one of the best shows of 2012, flat out and straight up.
