TV Geek Army Field Report: Showtime big time

Welcome to a Sunday night with a lot going on in the televisionverse!

californication

  • Bob’s Burgers serves up – Yet another animated Fox show rolls out on Sunday nights. Will it be in any good? I haven’t been in love with the network’s track record with animated shows of late.
  • The Cape unfurls – NBC’s latest sounds a lot like a mix of Heroes and No Ordinary Family: “An honest cop on a corrupt police force is framed for a series of murders and presumed dead. Forced into hiding and desperate to reunite with his wife and son, he recreates himself as a caped hero, determined to bring justice back to the city he loves. “
  • Big night for Showtime – New shows Shameless, starring William H. Macy, and Episodes, starring Matt LeBlanc (playing himself, no less) premiere, and Californication comes back for a little funnin’ and fornicatin’.
