TV Geek Army Field Report – Bret Michaels, weird & wonderful

I never cease to be fascinated by the spectacularly wide range of programming available on TV any night of the week these days. We try to capture some of the more niche, esoteric, and yes, oddball selections in our Weird & Wonderful listings each day in the TVGA field report.

Tonight, VH1 epitomizes the W&W worldview (W&WW?) by broadcasting two hours of programming about one of its greatest reality stars: Bret Michaels. If you’re a fan of Poison, the Rock of Love franchise, or even Bret’s rather remarkable run on Celebrity Apprentice last season, you might want to give it a check out.

Meanwhile, don’t miss out on our recent coverage of Kenny’s downward spiral on Eastbound & Down, the fight against green beer (and other “evil elixirs” on Boardwalk Empire, Don’s surprisingly popping question on Mad Men’s season finale, and the wedding of Wife #4 on Sister Wives.

Also don’t miss the latest in our TVGA Masterworks series. This week, RevViews revisits the classic Homicide: Life on the Street.

And here's what's on tonight:

Now that Paul Kinsey (Michael Gladis) made a brief but splashy and phenomenal return during last night's Mad Men episode, "Christmas Waltz," there remains only one significant advertising pro from the early seasons who has not made an appearance in the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce era.
