TV Geek Army Field Report: chronically weird & wonderful

I had to laugh when I noticed that The History Channel is running a show called “Marijuana: A Chronic History” at 9:00 tonight (proudly captured in our Weird & Wonderful category below).

Not that there’s anything wrong with delving into the history of the magical herb, and no doubt there are interesting bits to explore in terms of the politics, the culture, and dudes sitting around and eating Cheetos and having a mellow time. But one would imagine that The History Channel would have more, well, historical stuff to cover.

And, quite frankly, there's so much televised "weird and wonderful" fare on any given night (see: Ghost Hunters) that you'd think there'd be a place for... oh well, I give up.

While you join me in pondering the Meaning of It All, check out our recent coverage, including Life Unexpected’s pulse-y status, Survivor: Nicaragua’s ramp up a tribal merge, ongoing chitchat of The Walking Dead’s stunning debut in our TVGA Roundtable, Weeds’ (there’s that word again!) continued meandering journey, Terriers’ pimp daddy ‘tude, and Masterpiece Mystery’s exploration of Sherlock and the London underworld.

Now, here’s tonight’s TV:
