TV Geek Army Field Report: it’s a wonderful (TV) life

We have much to be thankful for at this moment in our collective TV lives, and yes, one of them is the magic of flipping on the tube during each holiday season and immersing ourselves in the enduring Frank Capra classic, It’s a Wonderful Life.

wonderful life

So, hopefully you caught it when it was on last night on NBC. But if you did miss it, perhaps you were savvy enough to DVR it or more likely you have it on DVD, Blu-Ray, or saved up on your On Demand queue.

But let’s say for some crazy reason you’re absolutely sick to eggnog-driven tears of that flick and you’d rather jump off the bridge that Jimmy Stewart almost uses to off himself than sit through another minute of the thing ever again. Well my friends, in that case you are in for a real treat as the holiday hits just keep on coming. In what we can expect to be a nightly occurrence through the rest of the month (and beyond?), we have such adventures to look forward to as A Very BET Christmas (8:00) and White House Christmas 2010 (8:00, HGTV) to look forward to.

So there is no need to be fearful, my friends. Be brave. Be very brave, indeed.

Now that Paul Kinsey (Michael Gladis) made a brief but splashy and phenomenal return during last night's Mad Men episode, "Christmas Waltz," there remains only one significant advertising pro from the early seasons who has not made an appearance in the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce era.
