5 Wishes for TV in 2013

Happy New Year to the TV Geek Army readers out there! This fall TV season has gotten a good start, but there are a few things that I hope will happen in 2013 for some of my favorite shows.

1. More Brody on Glee: This fifth season of Glee has been my favorite, thanks to the additions of Marley (Melissa Benoist) and Brody (Dean Geyer) plus Kate Hudson as Rachel’s ruthless dance teacher at NYADA. I have been a fan of Finn and Rachel, but ever since Brody’s first appearance I now say ‘Finn who?’. It’s time for Rachel to move on and Brody is the man to help her out. Not only do they look good together, their dancing and singing scenes have been fantastic. They need to bump his status to series regular.

2. A ‘Hook’ up for Emma and Captain Killian Jones on Once Upon a Time: I think that it is about time for Emma to have her own love story. You can’t deny their chemistry and now that Emma’s baby daddy has been introduced, it would make one interesting love triangle.

3. Great send offs for 30 Rock and The Office: The past two seasons of both of these shows have not been that great. I really hope that they give the fans, who have been watching since season one, the endings that they deserve. So far The Office has  provided more laughs in the first nine episodes of this season than it did in almost all of last season. 30 Rock’s final season has not been a disappointment either with a wedding for Liz Lemon (finally!) and a fabulous cameo from Dennis Duffy (Dean Winters). I have high hopes for both of these season finales.

4. Revenge needs to get back to the Revenge: After being talked into watching Revenge, I finished the whole first season in a week during the summer. It was that addictive! Now, it is just one big mess. There are too many stories to keep track of and the whole point of the show has been put on the back burner. It is time for less of the Initiative and more of Emily with her red sharpie.

5. A fifth season for Community: A girl can dream right? There aren’t high hopes for another season for the NBC comedy with the fourth season being moved to Friday nights and then being delayed until February  2013! If only another station would save it ala TBS and Cougar Town.

6. Bonus wish: Recognition at the 2013 Emmys for those who deserve it. Community, John Noble for Fringe, Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman for Parks and Recreation, Charlie Hunnam and Katey Sagal for Sons of Anarchy. I could go on and on. This needs to happen in 2013!

I agree that Emma needs a love interest. It's about time, already! And John Noble definitely deserves an Emmy for Fringe. He makes that show shine.
