Quick Take, Burn Notice, "Better Halves"
"Up and over. In the drink, honey." - Fiona

Review, Burn Notice, "Better Halves"
(S0511) I like the missions that allow Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) and Fi (Gabrielle Anwar) to work together. Now that they're in a relationship, there's an added layer of tension that is beautiful to watch. Much like their dance number. As soon as they started dancing, I was reminded of Scent of a Woman and hoped they would break into a tango. That was, by far, the best installment of "Michael Westen Teaches You How to be a Spy" to date.
I have always been a big fan of Charisma Carpenter especially when she appears in a bikini. I would love to review the scene with her and Fi by the pool, unfortunately, I can't remember any of it besides the poolside.
The dinner scene, however, is burned into my memory. The way Micheal and Fi switched gears and convinced Kevin (Tom Gallop) to join their team was brilliant. I like the tactic of blowing your cover and then telling another lie. It seemed like it would really work, unlike whatever Sam (Bruce Campbell) and Jesse (Coby Bell) were doing.
Their alleyway IED was so involved and complicated to put together, I don't see how it could actually work. I understand that Burn Notice would rather not give people blue prints for building bombs but let's try to keep things in the realm of believability.
I can't decide which action scene I liked better; Michael's fight or Fi's flight. It's as if the producers answered every viewer's prayers in this episode by giving the ladies a half naked Michael fighting a dude while wearing a towel and a dripping wet Fiona.
It takes a lot of balls to break into a guys place, eat his yogurt and then arrest him for a murder he didn't commit. However, balls are something that Agent Pearce (Lauren Stamile) has plenty of. Good to know that she's actually a talented spy and was able to get who she thinks is her man.
I, for one, am super psyched about the finale. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to Google some pictures of Charisma Carpenter.

All hail Cordelia !
