Quick Take: Dancing With the Stars, "Week 6"
“Your wiggly bum sends shockwaves through the airwaves.” – Bruno to Kirstie
Review: Dancing With the Stars, "Week 6"
(S0612) It was guilty pleasure night this week, with each star choosing a “guilty pleasure” song to dance to. The pros kicked the night off by dancing to Hanson performing “MmmBop.” The celebrities took to the floor after and most of them had a decent night of dancing. After watching everyone dance, it is tough to say who is going to make it all the way to the finals.
Romeo, waltz, 28 out of 30 – Romeo’s waltz, to Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On,” was my favorite of the night. He received the first ten of the season from Carrie Ann and he deserved it. I think that he and Chelsie could go to the finals if they keep dancing like they did here. Like Carrie Ann said, it was a magical moment on the dance floor.
Chelsea Kane, quickstep, 28 out of 30 – Carrie Ann liked Chelsea and Mark’s quickstep enough to give the dance a ten and Bruno thought it was luminous. I always enjoy the quickstep and this one was fun. Chelsea is a good dancer, has a lot of energy, and a good partner. This definitely makes for a finalist.
Hines Ward, Viennese waltz, 27 out of 30 – Hines is very charming and he is a good dancer. He is another contestant who has a chance to make it to the finals. Bruno thought he and Kim had good chemistry, which they did.
Kirstie Alley, samba, 26 out of 30 – Kirstie and Maks went with “Baby One More Time” for their guilty pleasure song. Len thought Kirstie was back to showing off the potential that she had displayed in Week One and Carrie Ann wants to see her in the finals. She did a decent job and with Maks as her partner does have a good chance to make it to the end.
Kendra Wilkinson, samba, 25 out of 30 – The samba was definitely the best dance for Kendra and she nailed her highest score so far. She definitely shook what her momma gave her and what her plastic surgeon gave her for that matter! Len obvious liked it with telling her the more she gyrated, the more he palpitated and Bruno called it her revenge of the stripper dance. Kendra has potential to be better, but she needs to step it up next week if she isn’t eliminated on the results show. Her fans have stuck by her so far, so it will be interesting to see how long she lasts.
Ralph Macchio, Paso doble, 24 out of 30 – Ralph’s dance was good, except for the stumble that Karina took in the beginning. Ralph saved her and they managed to save the rest of the dance. I don’t think this mattered and he has been good enough where he will stick around for a while.
Chris Jericho, tango, 22 out of 30 – Chris didn’t do as well this week as he did last week and ended up at the bottom of the pack. Bruno thought his tango was a little cold and Carrie Ann agreed with Bruno telling Chris the pressure seemed to get to him this week. Hopefully his fans can rally and keep him around another week because he is a decent dancer.
