Dancing With the Stars, "Week 6 Results": absurd elimination

Quick Take: Dancing With the Stars, "Week 6 Results"
“I'm almost at a loss for words. This is ludicrous! That one of these two is going home is absolutely nonsense!” – Len, seeing Jennifer and Audrina in the bottom two

Review: Dancing With the Stars, "Week 6 Results"
(S1112) Another results show, another shocking elimination. After six weeks of competition, MTV reality star Audrina Patridge was sent home. For once the judges are in agreement on this: the wrong person definitely got sent home. Audrina was in second place on Monday night and she was one of the best dancers of the season. Jennifer Grey ended up in the bottom with Audrina and as Len said, it was ludicrous!

You knew this was headed somewhere bad when low scorers Bristol Palin and Kurt Warner were announced safe from elimination right in the beginning of the show. The judges also chose Bristol’s tango as the encore dance for the night. Somehow Bristol went from being one of the worst dancers to having an encore. Heart stopped by to sing “Barracuda” and Kylie Minogue made an appearance to sing her new hit “Get Out of My Way.” Bret Michaels, Alice Cooper, and Dee Snider made a video appearance to give advice on how to really be a rocker. The show went on to the elimination and Audrina had her last dance with Tony.

I feel about this season how I felt about the last season. Near the middle of the season I thought, "let’s just get the show over with and give Nicole Scherzinger the trophy." This time it’s, "let’s get it over with and give the trophy to Jennifer Grey." At this point her only competition is Brandy and maybe Rick Fox has the potential to go to the finals along with them. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of weeks.

Next week is the show's 200th episode with Taylor Swift and Rod Stewart as musical guests. Look for past contestants, such as Helio Castroneves, Mel B., Kristi Yamaguchi, and Apolo Anton Ohno, to make appearances. It should be a very entertaining seventh week for Dancing with the Stars.

Strange that Heart came in with "Barricuda" -- didn't she sue the McCain-Palin campaign in '08 for using it at rallies ?
