Review: Dancing With the Stars, "Week 9 Results"
(S1118) A couple of weeks ago I would have bet that Audrina Patridge, Jennifer Grey, and Brandy Norwood would be going to the finals. Boy, was I wrong! It was another unpredictable results show with Brandy Norwood going home a week before the finals. On performance night Brandy had received her first perfect 30 of the season and the judges even picked her argentine tango for the encore dance of the results show. Brandy was definitely one of the better dancers and deserved to be in the final. This season has definitely proved that audience votes matter the most.

Besides the elimination, the night featured Enrique Iglesias and Annie Lennox as the musical guests. After the weeks of fans voting for the song, pros, and dance, the Macy’s Design a Dance was finally performed with Cheryl Burke and Derek Hough chosen as the dancers.

This season has been one of the most bizarre when it comes to voting. Usually there are one or two unexpected eliminations, but there have been three this season. Audrina was doing so well and then landed in seventh place. The week that Rick Fox got his highest scores he was voted off. It makes me wonder why people vote for certain celebrities, even when you know they are bad and need to go home.

I really enjoy watching Dancing with the Stars, but sometimes it can be frustrating when the people that deserve to make it to the finals don’t. Bristol Palin, Kyle Massey, and Jennifer Grey will compete for the mirror ball trophy next Monday night with the season finale and the winner being announced on Tuesday.

I believe that ABC, Disney and AT&T conspired together to ignore invalid internet and texting voting.  AT&T is an internet and cell phone service provider.  I am sure the have know for a while of the improper voting on the viewer participation section.  Yes this sounds Whinning, but bare with me.  ABC/Disney along with AT&T profit from violating their own rules.  AT@T gets traffic information for their internet service email and  texting revenues. ABC aka ABC/Disney, make higher advertising revenues by creating controversy.\, knowing that their guide lines (Ie voting limits) are being violated. Brandy and  many of the other contestants should feel short changed by ABC/Disney and AT&T by ignoring clear violations of their stated policies.  Also by deceiving the viewers to artificially enrich themselves,  information perpitrate this fraud hase gone over state line (email and phone), make this a federal issue.
