Revenge, "Suspicion": moshi, moshi

Quick Take: Revenge, "Suspicion"
The girl posing as Amanda causes trouble for the real thing.

Review: Revenge, "Suspicion"
(S0109) I have really been enjoying Revenge. It surprises me how much, actually, but if I had one critique it would be that things are going too smoothly for Amanda (Emily VanCamp) and she needs something to trip her up. As if someone was monitoring my thoughts through the television, along comes Faux-manda (Margarita Levieva) to do just that.

I always wondered where Amanda got her identity from and as soon as I found out she traded with a gal she met in prison, I knew that relationship was going to come back to haunt her. Up 'til now, anyone who has gotten in her way has met an untimely death or at the very least a memory wiping accident. Could Faux-manda meet the same fate? Revealing herself to Jack (Nick Wechsler) is a pretty bold move and aside from getting the dog back, I don't really see the point, but hey, I'm no stripper ex-convict, so what do I know?

One character I am desperately sick of is this douche bag, Tyler (Ashton Holmes). His smarminess oozes out of him at such an alarming rate that I'm amazed he hasn't already been offed. To make matters worse, he's not smart enough to fool even the stupidest Hamptons resident, which makes me wonder if he even has an endgame. The fact that he can be so undone by $20 million and a kiss from a dude shines a pretty bright light on his amateur status.

I sort of figured that Amanda would have some sort of “fixer” on speed dial. Whether it's Breaking Bad, Boss or Damages, the best character in any intrigue drama is always the “fixer.” I can't wait to see what tools he uses.
