The Bachelorette: Emily Maynard back again

The rumors are true: Emily Maynard has decided to try to find love on reality TV again.

Maynard was a contestant on The Bachelor during Brad Womack's second go round on the show and she quickly became an audience favorite due to her southern charm and tragic back story. Maynard had been engaged before, but her fiancé died in a plane crash in 2004. Soon after she found out she was pregnant with their daughter, Ricki, who is now six.

Maynard ended up being Brad’s final choice and they became engaged, but the couple broke up soon after the finale aired in May, 2011. His temper and her unwillingness to move because of Ricki reasons that came out in the wake of the split.

Maynard will be the first single mom to be featured as The Bachelorette. The producers have decided to accommodate her by filming the new season in her hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina so she can remain close to Ricki. The eighth season of the Bachelorette will premiere in the spring.
