The Finder

Review: The Finder, "Eye of the Storm"
(S0107) As I've been watching The Finder, I have really been enjoying it but often I will wonder to myself, “What if Walter (Geoff Stults) can't find something due to forces beyond his control?” Tonight we find out since as we all know, no one can control a hurricane, especially one named Catherine.

I can't help notice that this episode had a lot more actual detective work instead of the usual feelings and dreams that Walter uses to find things. Having Willa (Maddie Hasson) use the internet for clues was something that should have been done long ago. It also was nice to see Christina (Amy Aquino) helping out. That way she can understand how Willa fits into Walter's world. Lastly, with Walter forced to communicate with Isabel (Mercedes Masohn) over the phone, she's allowed to run the investigation instead of being run over by Walter and his antics. It's just a more traditional crime-solving adventure.

I'm completely over Timo (Toby Hemingway) and the gypsy drama. Maybe it's because I have zero knowledge of the gypsy life but I can't sympathize with the tale of Timo & Willa and their arranged marriage.

The reality of the situation continues with the loss of power. Considering how often power goes out during hurricanes it was bound to happen eventually. The best part is that Walter is then forced to go old school to gather information. Also, I loved seeing Leo on that generator.

Overall, I enjoyed this episode, if only for the fact that it reinforces my belief that teenagers are the stupidest people on earth.
