TV Geek Army Field Report: from cakes to quints

Personally, I'm not in love with Monday's TV lineup. At least not at the moment. I find it to be a great night to catch up on the astoundingly great programming that Sundays are throwing at us these days. But the beneficial thing I'd argue about the proliferation of cable channels and the original programming that has come with it is that there really is something for everyone these days.

cake boss

For example, if you love cake, desserts, and shows about the making of same, then TLC is your bag as Cake Boss kicks off a new season tonight. Or if you're of a mind to watch reality shows about families with an enormous horde of children, you're in luck again, as Texas Quints lines up just after on TLC at 10:00.

Meanwhile, we most heartily advise you to catch up TVGA's own programming, including coverage of Kenny's continued odyssey in Mexico on Eastbound & Down, the Jones clan adding one more to the horde of their own (they're up to 21 now if you can dig) on Sister Wives, Don Draper's latest reinvention for SCDP on Mad Men, and gangsters and intrigue in Prohibition era Atlantic City on Boardwalk Empire,

Also most worth  your while: our TVGA UK correspondent RevViews returns with a new series called TVGA Masterworks. First up for masterful examination: Arrested Development.

Now here's Monday's lineup, enjoy…

Interesting that you don't like Mondays... it tends to be my most crowded night of shows! Sundays are pretty stellar too though.
