TV Geek Army Field Report: Jersey Shore roars

Tonight’s the night, as our friend Dexter might say.

wipeout

  • Jersey Shore doth roar again (or something) – I’m an unabashed superfan of this examination of 21st Century fist-pumping, GTL-ing, grenade whistle-avoiding, and debauchery. Therefore, I will not hide that I’m rejoicing at the return of Jersey Shore for its third season (though second to be located on the actual Shore of Jersey if you’ve been  paying attention), even if we are looking at receiving torrents of the same.
  • Wipeout, “winter edition,” premieres – I really enjoyed Wipeout when it first debuted on ABC a few summers back. It was (very) light fare after drudging through a hard mid-summer’s workday, and some of the stunts and obstacles were ridiculously stupid and funny. Since then though I kind of feel that it has been diminishing returns, even with lots of tweaks and course changes along the way. Will a winter’s run give it fresh legs? We’ll have to wait and see, now won’t we.
