If you had to pick only two dramas to watch on television, you could do much worse than to choose AMC’s Mad Men and Breaking Bad.

Obviously, some people are going to scream and hiss and moan at this selection, but hear me out, I beg of thee.

AMC has announced that it is picking up a full series order for a show called Hell on Wheels.

It’s rare when an “event” television show with maximum hype lives up to anything close to what is (loudly) promised. If anything, Boardwalk Empire surpassed the hype.

Anything can happen. We know this because it already has.

Victory came through a combination of luck, youth, good looks, good nature, and true grit.

As the kids return to Seaside Heights, New Jersey for the second time, I think the one thing we can easily say is that we’re definitely in for more of the same.

As the Christmas and New Year’s corridor slowly and enticingly draws closer, the television shows we know and love and are quietly, by ones and twos and threes, starting to take their winter’s slumber.

We all know the deal with end-of-year lists. They’re incredibly subjective and often flat out “wrong.”

There is no need to be fearful, my friends. Be brave. Be very brave, indeed.

And, one night, one magical night, I stumbled across Spike’s MANswers, a show so unabashedly octane- and Red Bull-infused that it pounds you across and upside the face with its unrelenting cheesy fury, and I had found the gold at the end of the rainbow my friends.

It’s always heartbreaking when a show gets cancelled that you believe has a certain magic to it, a certain spirit, a certain chemistry that could never be reassembled (conjured?) again even with all the budget and time in the world.
